News Release: Partnership with Central Iowa Works Yields Nursing Graduate

POLK COUNTY, IA – Through a partnership with Central Iowa Works and Senior Housing Management, Shana Plambeck graduated Wednesday, May 6, 2020, as a Registered Nurse.

“What comes to mind immediately when I think of Shana is her passion for nursing and compassion for seniors,” shared Tina Overton, Courtyard Estates Manager. “She treats all seniors as if they were her own loved one. She has a plethora of knowledge when it comes to nursing skills and implements all she knows to provide the highest quality of care for residents.”

Plambeck has been a Licensed Practical Nurse at Courtyard Estates at Hawthorne Crossing in Bondurant since August of 2016, and furthered her education through a full-ride scholarship from Central Iowa Works. Launched in January 2017, the HealthWorks tuition grant is intended to help individuals pursue training and education for health care positions. “I am married to a nurse and know how difficult the course and clinical work is. It is hard to think of any job more important than nursing, especially in these times,” said Central Iowa Works Director, Pat Steele. “I am very happy for Shana and congratulate her on this accomplishment.”
