On Tuesday, February 9th, Garnett Place celebrated “Fat Tuesday” (the day before Lent) complete with a King Cake and beads! Tradition tells us that finding the baby symbolizes luck and prosperity to whoever finds it in their slice of cake. The finder of the baby is crowned “king” or “queen” for the day. We didn’t have a baby in our cake but we did play a game of find the baby. Wilma was our winner and crowned queen of Garnett Place Mardi Gras!
