Allen Phillips,
President, has a B.B.A. degree from Mount Mercy
College in Cedar Rapids. His major was in
Accounting, with strong emphasis in Finance. Allen
is also the President of the Iowa Assisted Living
Association, which supports the Iowa Assisted Living
communities through education and governmental
affairs.
Allison Law, Vice President and Operations Manager, has a B.A. in journalism from the University of
Iowa. She has nearly 15 years experience in all
aspects of the senior living industry.
Mark Takes, Senior Consultant, is a cofounder of Senior
Housing Consultants, Inc. He has been a consultant
to long-term care and assisted living providers in
the Midwest for past 19 years after ten years of
consulting in the construction industry.
Joy Cox, Operations Manager, has more than 20 years
of experience in the senior living industry, with
the past 12 years in Assisted Living. Joy has been a
committee chair/member of the Iowa Assisted Living
Association for many years, as well as serving on
the IALA Board of Directors.
Peggy Luciano, Nurse Clinician, has been an RN for over 15 years. She obtained her nursing degree and graduated with Honors from the Harvard Nursing Program at New England Baptist Hospital School of Nursing, Boston, Massachusetts. She has worked in Long Term Care and Assisted Living for the past 14 years.
Kathy Lansing, Nurse Clinician, has been an RN for
over 30 years, obtaining her nursing degree from
Saint Mary’s College in Omaha, Nebraska. She has
worked in Long Term Care and Assisted Living for the
past 20 years.
Melissa Sherod, Operations Manager, has more than 12
years experience in management with the last 4 years
in the Assisted Living Industry. Melissa is the
Education Committee Chair for the Iowa Assisted
Living Association as well as serving on the Board
